Configuring Gmail to Windows Live Mail is almost the same when we setting Mail using Outlook Express. there is 2 step if we want to configuring the email, below is detail explanation :
- Enable POP in Gmail
a. Login to Gmail
b. Click Setting in the top right in your email
c. Click tab Forwading and POP/IMAP
d. Tick mark
- Enable POP for Mail (if you want to download all your mail from the beginning)
- Enable POP for mail that arrive from now on (if you want to download the email after this setting done)
e. Save Changes
2. Configure Windows Live Mail
- a. My incoming mail Server is a : POP3
b. Incoming server : pop.gmail.com
c. Port : 995
d. Tick mark This server requires a secure connection (SSL)
e. Login ID : your ID
f. Out going server : smtp.gmail.com
g. Port : 25
h. Tick mark This server requires a secure connection (SSL)
i. Tick mark My Outgoing server requires authentication
3. Finish
Congratulations! You're done configuring your client Email to send and retrieve Gmail messages.
