How to Set Time/Clock in Mikrotik Router board

My friend ask me about how to set time in Mikrotik Router, He usually set time/clock using Winbox by clicking System-> Clock, using this method every time the Mikrotik Router restart the time will back to the default 1/1/1970. Yes, it’s because Mikrotik Router board doesn’t have CMOS battery . Ok, if you have the same problem follows the step below to set time in Mikrotik Router Board:

1. Open Mikrotik Router board using Winbox
2. Go to System-> NTP Client
3. Choose Unicast Mode and in Primary NTP Server input IP by browsing in www.pool.ntp.org, choose IP base on your Country for example: 202.162.32.12
4. Then Click Apply ->OK.
You can check the system->clock and see the time, it should up to date time and date, you can test to restart and check the time/clock again :)

Good Luck!
