If you’re using Win Server 2003 and using the backup program default from windows, maybe you will little bit confuse when setting backup schedule in Win Server 2008. For now Win Server 2008 come with new feature.
Windows Server Backup (WSB) is the built-in backup solution for Windows Server 2008 that replaces the venerable NT Backup from Windows Server 2003 and before. WSB protects the files and the server os/application binaries within itself as a single-server solution.
There is some information about how to make schedule backup using Win Server 2008 on the internet especially using some Script that make some people (including me) confuse.
If you want to make backup schedule on Server 2008 without script then follow the step below:
1. Click Start ->All Program->Administrative Tools->Window Server Backup
2. Choose Backup Schedule and follow the step. I am sure if you can follow the step especially if you familiar with backup schedule in Win server 2003. In this step you can choose to make schedule backup daily, we will create schedule backup monthly later.
3. After finished then you can close the program
