Simple Tips to Clean Your LCD Laptop Computer

One of the important (read: expensive) component in your laptop computer is LCD Screen. Many people don’t know The Proper Way to Clean LCD Screens. The LCD Screen Monitor needs a bit special care when cleaning because the display have more sensitive and easy scratched and damaged.

Some point that you should avoid LCD monitor screen:
1. Don’t put your fingers on the laptop screen as this can burn out pixels.
2. Don't use tissue papers, toilet rolls, cheap paper towels, towels as they will scratch your screen permanently
3. Don’t use products that contain ammonia, ethyl alcohol, acetone, toluene, ethyl acid, or methyl chloride. These chemicals can react with the materials that the LCD screen is made of which could yellow the screen or cause other kinds of damage.
4. Don’t use liquid to spray directly on the LCD screen or it could run inside the monitor and cause damage.
5. Don’t press harder when you clean the dirty part of your screen monitor. Pushing directly on the LCD screen can often cause pixels to burn out.

Tips to Clean Your LCD Monitor
There is only 2 point that I recommended for how to clean your LCD Screen
1. Use a dry, soft cloth and very gently wipe the screen. A great choice would be the microfiber type of cloth used to clean eyeglasses.
2. Buy a cleaner especially made for laptop LCD screens. Remember point number 4 (some point that you should avoid) for how to use the cleaner. You should spray the soft cloth then start to clean your LCD Screen.

Note: Turn off the laptop/monitor first before cleaning the screen, very gently wipe the screen in the same direction and start from the top area of your monitor then down area of your LCD screen.

Tips for Buying a LCD Computer Monitor

When you decide to buy a computer monitor, there are 2 types of computer monitor; LCD and CRT. Now days the best choice for computer monitor is a LCD. Some reasons to buy this type are:
- Magnetic Radiation is lower, if you usually working in front of the computer, LCD Monitor are recommended to you.
- Less Energy usage
- With soft color and high resolution LCD monitor is much better for your eyes then CRT Monitor
- The price of LCD Monitors are coming down

Tips For Buying LCD Monitor

1. Check for the Specification:
- Resolution: Resolution is the maximum number of pixels that can be displayed on the monitor's screen. The greater the resolution, the higher the clarity and picture quality your monitor can achieve.

- Contrast ratio: means that the monitor will have deeper black and white color.

- Viewing angles: View angle is the area in front of the screen that you can view a picture without distortion. LCD monitors can have a view angle between 130 and 170 degrees.LCD monitors produces a small shade, which can be seen if we look it from a different angles, so if you are not looking straight into a monitor this is a thing to consider.

- Response time/ Refresh Rate : The refresh rate determines how many times the screen can refresh itself. For serious gamers this is essential, a few milliseconds can make a difference when playing an online game.

- Aspect ratio: The standard wide and height is measured in inches. Aspect ratio is ratio of how the picture is displayed. Standard proportion is 4:3 but newer HD movies are filmed in 16:9 ratio.

- Luminance: Measuring the brightness of the monitor is important also, measure of 200-250 or ever more is consider to be a good buy.

2. LCDs are very reliable, but you should still look for a three-year warranty.

3. There are many companies that sells LCD monitors like Samsung, HP, Acer...etc, choose the brand that there is authorized service in your town, if something happened in your monitor its easy to ask the guarantee or ask for services.

3. Don’t pick large computer screen. Make sure that the computer screen your purchase is readable and easy to see. The larger the screen is, the worse the resolution will be. Do not go larger than a 19 inch screen when choosing a computer monitor. 14 or 15 inch screen is recommended.

4. LCD screens are a little bit pricier than CRT Monitors that are available. Although they are not as generally expensive now as they were when they first came to market, LCD monitors are still considerably more expensive than similarly-sized CRTs so, if budget is an issue for you, stick with a CRT.
