Can’t Login Win XP - c: \ windows \ system32 \ config \ system missing or corrupt

Computer Troubleshooting

I am writing this command because there is still many case that someone ask me how to fix it if they cannot login to windows with error message : C:\Windows\System32\config\system missing or corrupt

1. Please booting using CD windows

2. Press R to repair

3. type the administrator password

after that please type:

md tmp

copy c:\windows\system32\config\system c:\windows\tmp\system.bak

delete c:\windows\system32\config\system

copy c:\windows\repair\system c:\windows\system32\config\system

Exit from command prompt and restart the computer
