Usually in your computer Drive for CD / DVD ROM or removable disk (Flash disk, External HD etc..) are in drive D,E, or F. how about if you like to change the drive letter? or for some case arrange drive letter can avoid conflict between Network drive Map and removable drive.
For Example : Network drive Map using drive F: then when you try to plug your Flash disk to port USB in your computer, your computer can detect the Flash disk but you cannot find the drive letter for the Flash disk. It could be happen because your computer detect the flash disk as Drive F: . To solve this problem you need to change the drive letter in your computer.
Follow the instruction below to change the drive letter:
1. Click Start -> Run and type “ diskmgmt.msc"
2. Or you can also open Disk Management with different way Right click My Computer -> Manage
3. Select Disk Management then Right Click which a drive you want to change and click Change Drive Letter and Path..
4. Select the drive letter that you want to use and click OK
5. Click Yes to change drive letter
6. Done
Important
• Be careful when making drive-letter assignments because many MS-DOS and Windows programs make references to a specific drive letter
• Must be remembered that you could not change drive c: because Microsoft made you could not change it. Definitely always will emerge the box of confirmation that said windows cannot modify the drive letter of your system the volume or boot the volume.
