Trend Micro Antivirus Client incorrectly appearing as offline or disconnected after Trend Micro Officescan Server changed the IP address

For Example we have same case that we have to change IP address in our Network, Server and all client computers in our network will have new IP address. After done with all configuration and setting new IP address, we found that Antivirus Trend Micro Office scan in our Network become Offline or Disconnected. Of course its because we changed the IP address in computer which is installed the Trend Micro Antivirus Server. Ok..How to solve this problem? Follow the instruction below:

For Example IP address computer which is installed Antivirus Server is 10.10.3.3 and we want to change it become 10.10.3.7

1. First we have to change shortcut IP address Officescan Web Console (HTML)


- Go to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\OfficeScan\PCCSRV
- Change IP Address to the new one


- Click OK

2. Login to Trend Micro Officescan and type the Password
- Go to Administration -> Connection String and change the IP address


- Click Save

3. The last step, we need to change the IP address Trend Micro Client in Registry, so Client can connect to Antivirus Server.
- Go to Start->Run->Regedit
- Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro\PC-cillinNTCorp\CurrentVersion



- Double Click on “IP” and change the IP Address with computer IP address


- Double Click on “Server” and change the IP Address with IP address which is AV server Installed
note : if in AV server the connection using computer name make sure the client have the same setting.


4. Done, Restart the computer
Trend Micro Client will appear Online after Computer Restart.

  1. We cannot change the IP address of server because this will effect all out network.

    What should we do next?

  2. its could be different between IP address in Domain Server and IP address in Trend Micro Server

    for example : if you not install the TM server in Domain server, only installed TM Server in the PC which is connected to the server, then your domain server not change the IP but your PC which is install Trend Micro Server change the IP address, your Trend Micro will have problem appear disconnected just like I mention above.

    if you Install Trend Micro in your Domain Server then you changed the IP address in Domain server, of course there will be effect to your network and others application not only Trend Micro Server.

    I think its not recommended to installed your Trend Micro Server in your Domain server because TM server will receive connection from TM client and quarantine the virus
