Gokhiel Weblog: How To Change Microsoft Office 2007 User Interface To Microsoft Office 2003

For someone who already familiar with Microsoft Office 2003 sometime it might be a problem when using new ribbon menu in Microsoft Office 2007. If you are using Microsoft office 2007 but still want to use classic menu just like in Microsoft Office 2003, you can try great tools below:

1. RibbonCustomizer
RibbonCustomizer™ is an add-in for Microsoft® Access™, Excel®, Outlook®, PowerPoint® and Word 2007. It allows you to customize the Ribbon User Interface with only a few mouse clicks! The Professional edition of this add-in is available for $29.99. The Starter edition includes a 30 days free trial of the Professional one. However if you only want to have the Classic menu for Office 2007, the Starter edition should do it.

After install this add-in then go go to View tab, click the drop down arrow button on Customize Ribbon and then go to Customize Schemes. You can select either to show the Classic UI as first tab or the last tab.

2. UbitMenu
UbitMenu is a free add-on for MS Office 2007 that provides the option to use an MS Office 2003-style interface alongside Office 2007’s "Ribbons" style interface. It is installed as an additional menu in Office 2007 applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), allowing for switching back and forth at will between the older and newer style interfaces.
UBitMenu can be installed with standard user rights on any Windows® Office 2007 / Office 2010 environment. You may need to save the file to a trusted location on your hard disk before you run the setup.

The setup application will install UBitMenu AddIn-files for Excel, Word and PowerPoint. All changes are registered for uninstallation.
To uninstall our software please use the 'Software' applet in the Windows Control Panel. The name of this applet may be language specific. You will find an entry for UBitMenu there.
